Padi Tec 50

The third part of the entire PADI Tec Deep Diver program is the Tec 50. As a Tec 50 diver, you will demonstrate that you have developed proficiency as a technical diver and have the skills to dive to a maximum depth of 50 meters. Using up to two blends, you will learn how to make extended and accelerated decompression stops. It is not easy to reach this level, and earning your Tec 50 certification will open the door to even deeper diving expeditions.

 

To enroll in the Tec 50 course you must:

• Being a PADI Tec 45 d'iter

• Have logged at least 100 dives, at least 20 of which were enriched air dives deeper than 18 meters / 60 feet and 15 dives deeper than 30 meters.

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be in possession of a Medical Certificate with Nulla Osta signed by a doctor within the previous 12 months

 

Note that certificates from other organizations may be valid - ask your Tec Deep Instructor for information.

 

Academic:

The Tec 50 course consists of two theoretical development sessions, three practical sessions and four training dives in open water. This course in concentrated on  mission planning and execution. Plus, you will learn more about how to handle emergencies and to think like a technical diver.

 

Equipment:

You will use full technical equipment as well as two stage / decompression tanks.
