With the PADI Open Water Diver course, we want to introduce you to the wonderful underwater world to obtain the world’s most popular certification. Obtaining the PADI Open Water Diver certification means being able to explore anywhere and having the opportunity to see the wonders beneath the surface and meet people from different cultures and nationalities.
During the Open Water Diver course, you will not only learn basic diving techniques and how to care for scuba equipment but also how to conduct a safe dive for yourself and your companions.
At the end of the course, you will receive your Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive up to 18m deep.
You will learn to dive independently anywhere in the world: we will ensure that your skills and knowledge exceed any of your expectations!
What does the PADI Open Water Diver training entail
To obtain the Open Water Diver qualification, you can study independently at home with an electronic manual (e-Learning) and take a simple final exam.
The PADI Open Water Diver course also includes classroom theory lessons before moving on to dives, learning the execution techniques that we will perform in the sea.
You will make dives in the sea where conditions are similar to the pool, to facilitate your learning, which will be gradual and tailored to your abilities. You will be guided by passionate, qualified, and experienced instructors.
Our PADI Open Water Diver course is personalized and consists of a maximum of 3 students!
STUDY AT HOME, PRACTICE WITH US
Study comfortably at home, and only practice with us in the sea! Our groups have a maximum of 3 students per instructor!
There is flexibility in how the course is organised but typically it goes like this:
Day 1 – Confined water in shallow bay in the sea, usually in Las Vistas beach or to the beach close the center playa del Bobo as follow the Open Water dive 1
Day 2 – Open Water dives 2 from the beach – usually Las Vistas beach in Los Cristianos or Abades beach
Day 3 – Open Water dives 3 from the beach ,usually Abades for find the turtles
Day 4 – Open Water dives 4 in Los Cristianos or other beach.
Requirements for the Open Water Diver course
To participate in this incredible adventure, there are only two fundamental requirements:
- you must be in good health and
- you must be at least 10 years old.
Divers between 10 and 14 years old are classified as Junior Open Water Divers but automatically become Open Water Divers upon turning 15.

The PADI Open Water Diver licence does not have an expiration date and is valid forever and in all countries.
The main difference between PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water Diver is that the former constitutes the first part of the latter. While the Open Water Diver certification is the most recognized in the world and requires a complete course, the Scuba Diver course allows for diving accompanied by a qualified instructor.
The PADI Scuba Diver course is an option for those who, for various reasons, do not intend to complete the entire Open Water course or who wish to dive only with a PADI Pro.
The Open Water Diver course is certified ISO 24801-2 and allows you to obtain a globally recognized certification.
The Open Water Diver qualification allows diving to a depth of up to 18m.
