PADI Course Search and Recovery
Sometimes it happens, while on a boat or while diving, you lose something in the water. If you’ve ever lost something in the water and wanted to find it, then the PADI Search and Recovery course is for you. To search for objects underwater, there are effective techniques that increase the chances of success. And there are several methods of bringing objects of various sizes and shapes to the surface. Search and rescue can be a challenge, but it’s fun.
If you are at least 12 years old and are a PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the Search and Recovery Diver course. The PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certificate are also valid with a PADI Underwater Navigator certificate.
Training:
The first important things you will learn are how to gather information and resources and how to plan your subsequent research carefully.
In the course of four dives you will practice:
• Search patterns using compass and natural navigation
• Finding large and small objects using various search patterns
• Using a lifting bag for large and small items, as well as other retrieval methods.
• The planning of a search operation based on information reeided before the dive.
Additionally, the first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course can be credited as an Adventure Dive for your Advanced Open Water Diver certification
